Superb antique Italian mandolin signed Luigi Tamagno, renowned maker of Neapolitan-style mandolins at the end of the 19th century.
The instrument retains its original label bearing the mention:
« Fabbrica Speciale di Mandolini “Estudiantina” – Luigi Tamagno – Via San Felice, 17 – Napoli – Anno 1898 »
This authentic mandolin, over 125 years old, features a beautiful spruce top, an ornate oval rosette and a fingerboard adorned with inlays. It constitutes a remarkable testament to Italian lutherie of the Belle Époque.
