Working tool Victorian - mechanical rotisserie

This is an old mechanical rotisserie that operates with manual wind or a spring, which slowly turns the spit in front of the fireplace. It features relief decorations on the body and elaborate feet shaped like lion paws, as you can see from the side photos. The mechanism for operation is visible, and underneath there is the key to wind the springs. It would be advisable to give the mechanism a good greasing and a cleaning, since it has been idle for many years. As shown in the photos, note the stamps with writings from the era.
