Caballos, an original European Impressionist oil on panel painting from the 1940s, framed and measuring 95 × 84.5 cm.
Description from the seller
Title: Horses
School: European Impressionist School (20th Century)
Style: Impressionism
Technique: Oil on panel
This elegant composition depicts two white horses situated in an open mountain landscape. The animals occupy the foreground, standing out for the brightness of their coats and the sense of movement conveyed through their manes and tails, blown by the wind. The artist employs a palette dominated by blues, whites, and soft violets, creating an attractive contrast between the equine figures and the darker-toned mountain background.
The fluid, expressive brushwork, characteristic of the Impressionist school, sensitively captures the effects of natural light on the horses’ bodies, adding dynamism and depth to the composition. The work conveys an atmosphere of freedom and serenity, evoking the beauty of nature and the nobility of these animals.
The work is presented framed with a dark mahogany wooden frame, of a simple and elegant profile. It features a light mat with an inner gilded edge that enhances the painting’s luminosity and provides a balanced and refined presentation.
Notes:
The work may suffer damage during transport even with proper packaging. In such a case, we will need photographs of the flaws to proceed with compensation. Customer satisfaction is always our priority.
Exceptionally, shipping costs may be affected by surcharges due to reasons such as being outside a continental territory, excessive dimensions or weight of the item. PremiArt will not cover this surcharge in any case.
Due to border issues with Switzerland we are obliged to inform that shipments exceeding 1 meter in length or height to that destination will not be carried out.
