The pen presents a very good overall condition for its age, remarkably preserving its original aesthetics and functionality. The body in striated gray cellulose acetate maintains a good definition of the longitudinal lines, with still visible transparency in the ink window, which allows proper viewing of the fill level. There are light surface marks typical of use and the passage of time, without affecting the integrity of the material or its visual appeal.

The cap, in black cellulose, is in good structural condition, with normal signs of use such as micro-scratches and slight wear in the areas most handled. The metal elements plated in gold (clip and rings) retain a good presence, with possible light wear of the plating at specific points, something common in pieces from this era.

The piston-filling system has been checked and works correctly, ensuring smooth and safe filling. The pen is delivered fully operational. A 14K gold nib from the brand has been mounted, offering smooth and consistent writing, which may show a slight stroke variation characteristic of these vintage models. The nib is not correct for this model.

No relevant structural cracks are observed, which is especially important in cellulose pieces of this age. Overall, it is a well-preserved, functional specimen ready for use or collection.

Conservation recommendations

It is recommended to use high-quality fountain pen inks, avoiding pigmented inks. If not in regular use, clean with warm water, dry completely before storing, and keep in a dry place away from direct light and extreme temperatures. Operate the filling mechanism gently to preserve the mechanism.
