Two 500 ml ceramic jars from the POP ART line, POLIPO and SARDINE, containing 100% Italian extra virgin olive oil produced by Frantoio Muraglia in Puglia, Italy.
Description from the seller
Lot comprising 2 ceramic jars of 500 ml, line POP ART, POLIPO and SARDINE, of extra virgin olive oil produced by FRANTOIO MURAGLIA, PUGLIA - ITALY.
Frantoio Muraglia was born in Andria, the capital of Apulian olive oil, five generations ago, but the patriarch of the family of olive growers counts 450. It is a majestic Coratina olive tree, an autochthonous cultivar armed with polyphenols like few among the 538 Italian varieties classified. Our history as millers begins with this green giant that dominates our countryside on the Murgia plateau, a stretch of about 40 hectares of olive trees. We continue to harvest olives by hand and press them cold in the ancient stone mill.
The jars are from the POP ART series and are named: POLIPO and SARDINE, just as the images depicted, from left to right on each of them.
The jars of the POP ART collection, entirely handmade by Apulian artisans, are true design objects that bring straight to the colors of the land and sea of Puglia. Pop marine elements: bright tones and matte colorings indeed customize octopuses, squid and fish that dart across the white ceramic, highlighting its purity and artisanal perfection; pastels, on the other hand, become glossy iridescences of the rainbow – a distinctive iconography of Frantoio Muraglia – that dive into the sea to personalize brightly colored octopuses and return to shore, warming the prickly pears.
