Description from the seller
Pair of Space Age bedside lamps in smoked glass with incised geometric satin patterns and brass – DGBM – West Germany – 1970s
DESCRIPTION
Elegant pair of original 1970s bedside lamps, produced in West Germany.
The lamps feature spherical diffusers in smoked glass decorated with refined satin incised geometric motifs, mounted on bases and stands in gold-colored metal/brass. The design is typical of Space Age style and European mid-century modernism of the 70s, now particularly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts of vintage interior design.
The original cord stop bears the marking DGBM (Deutsches Bundesgebrauchsmuster), indicating a registration of an industrial design in West Germany.
Thanks to their compact size and the elegant glass craftsmanship, these lamps are ideal as bedside lamps, but can also be used as decorative light points in living rooms, studies, or entryways.
The lamps emit a warm, soft light that enhances the unique craftsmanship of the smoked glass, creating a refined and welcoming atmosphere.
It is likely the model was produced by German companies such as Fischer Leuchten or Doria, active in the same period and known for this type of glass and brass lighting.
CONDITION
The lamps are presented in excellent vintage condition.

• Metal structures well preserved with minimal signs of age compatible with their age
