Hand-carved jewelry box with high relief on the lid.
Originating from Switzerland, Valais. Mid-20th century.
Ornamental carving all around, and on the lid grapes and leaves..
Rectangular.
The hinges are good.
4 round feet. Folk art.
There is a small key included, but the lock does not work (now).
Red velvet lining.
The box is actually less red than it appears in the photo.
