Orginele en authentiek zwaar houten voorouder beeld van de Molukken Indonesië 
De 'Leti-beelden' uit de Molukken hebben sterke culturele en stilistische banden met de nabijgelegen Tanimbar-eilanden. Dit is de reden dat de twee vaak samen worden genoemd. Het zijn voorouderbeelden die een belangrijke rol spelen in de spirituele tradities van deze regio. 
Kenmerken en context van de beelden:
Locatie: De beelden komen van oorsprong van het eiland Leti, dat deel uitmaakt van de Zuidwestelijke Molukken in Indonesië. Het eiland Leti ligt dicht bij de Tanimbar-archipel, wat de overeenkomsten in hun kunststijl verklaart.
Raja Leti: Figuurtjes die koninklijkheid of voorouders symboliseren.
Tafu/Tavu: Grotere rituele palen of altaren, die zowel in Leti als Tanimbar te vinden zijn, zoals deze 
De beelden staan in de lokale traditie bekend als Tavu en spelen een centrale rol in de voorouderverering, die een belangrijk aspect vormt van de traditionele religie in de Zuidwestelijke Molukken. De Tanimbar-cultuur kent een vergelijkbaar gebruik van Tavu.
Leti en Tanimbar: Leti en Tanimbar worden omwille van de vergelijkbare kunstvorm vaak samen genoemd. Kunsthistorici groeperen deze objecten onder de traditionele religieuze kunst van Maluku Tenggara (Zuidoost-Molukken). 

Het hout vertoont een prachtige patina door leeftijd en gebruik, wat de authenticiteit en de rituele betekenis versterkt.
