AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Exceptional chess set.

A commemorative jewel for the 5th centenary of the conquest of Granada, presented in a magnificent wooden chess set with an elegant classic design and Nazari marquetry decoration. From the board, two drawers unfold to store the pieces in a beautiful felt lining, each piece having its exclusive slot.

Measuring 48 cm per side and a 60 cm diagonal.

The pieces, finely polished, are handmade by the best artisans in bronze and finished on pedestals gilded with 24-karat gold and silver. It consists of 32 pieces that represent the most important figures from the two sides of the 15th-century Granada conquest. The Catholic Monarchs, Boabdil, Aixa, great Christian knights and Arab warriors. In the photographs the porosity/texture of their figures is clearly visible in great detail.

Special mention should be made of the horses, each one distinct, with great detail and beauty. Like the bishops, they are also different from one another.

It is an exceptional and exclusive work of art, discontinued and hard to obtain.

The set is in excellent condition. No damage of any kind.

It will be carefully shipped packed and with a tracking code.
