Description from the seller
A0000004729
The Dunhill Savory lighter is in very good overall condition for its age and use, preserving its original character and collectible appeal.
The body shows a well-defined engine-turned guilloché finish, with uniform wear that evidences the passage of time without compromising the aesthetic of the piece. There are light surface marks and small signs of use on edges and areas of greater handling, normal for pieces of this era, which do not detract from its presence or value. The structure remains solid, with good fit between the parts.
The mechanism works correctly, as seen in the images, with operational ignition, good spark generation, and smooth opening of the lid. The friction wheel retains good grip and response, and the overall system maintains its functionality, which significantly increases its appeal for both use and collection.
On the base the original engravings are preserved, visible and legible, including brand and manufacturing references, which adds authenticity and historical value to the piece. The lower loading screw is present and in good condition, allowing proper maintenance of the lighter.
Overall, this is a well-preserved, functional specimen representative of Dunhill's Art Deco design, ideal for collectors or enthusiasts of high-end vintage writing and accessory objects.
It will be sent in a courtesy box for proper preservation. Happy bidding!
