Two Murano glass items from Italy dating to the mid‑20th century are offered as a lot, including a cobalt blue blown centerpiece plate with a spiral wave motif and coral red edge (diameter about 25 cm, height 5 cm) and a Murano glass ashtray-style cup with an amber‑to‑blue colour shift and star milling on the convex side (diameter 13.5 cm, height 5 cm), both fully intact with only artisanal imperfections, and the cup showing a tiny 0.5 mm edge chip as noted.
Description from the seller
A lot consisting of two pieces of Murano glass of exceptional quality, handmade in Venice in the mid-20th century.
The proposed items:
A) a center-table plate, about 25 cm in diameter and 5 cm high, made of cobalt blue blown glass with a wavy spiral motif and decorated with a coral-red edge.
B) a Murano glass cup (ashtray?) in a beautiful iridescent color ranging from amber to blue, decorated with stars milled on the convex side; diameter 13.5 cm and height 5 cm.
Both objects are completely intact and free of defects except for imperfections typical of handcrafted items of this nature.
The cup has a tiny chip on the outer rim measuring 0.5 mm, highlighted in the last photo indicated by a pencil tip.
