Statley large statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus – Authentic devotional statue – detachable arm

A beautiful and stately plaster devotional statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, dating from the first half of the 20th century. This hand-painted sculpture shows the classic Catholic iconography: Jesus Christ pointing with his left hand to his flaming heart, surrounded by thorns, while with his right hand he makes a blessing gesture.
Special technical feature:
This specific specimen is equipped with the rare and original detachable arm system. Quality foundries of that era applied this technique to protect the finely detailed blessing hand from breakage during transport and to facilitate its release from the casting mold. The statue is in a beautiful, authentic condition.
The original colors (polychromy) have developed a softly patinated patina over the decades. There is slight, normal paint wear inherent to the age and the material (plaster), which contributes to the historic appearance of the object.
In beautiful condition, no major restorations or structural fractures.
