Description
Important cast bronze bell characterized by a traditional shape and a relief decoration consisting of stylized floral motifs and ornamental friezes distributed along the body. Made by mold casting, it features a surface with a pleasant dark patina developed over time and retains the original iron clapper inside. The top is equipped with a robust perforated three-hole handle, which allowed for suspension.
The decoration recalls popular and rural motifs typical of decorative and functional bells produced between the late 19th and 20th centuries for homes, farms, minor religious buildings, and agricultural settings.
The object is particularly decorative thanks to its substantial size, heavy casting, and authentic patina developed over the years.
