Vintage Majolica Vase – Antique Savona / Ligurian Style

For sale a refined ceramic artistic majolica vase, entirely handmade and decorated in cobalt blue monochrome on a milky white background, recalling the great Ligurian ceramic tradition of the XVIII century.

Main Features and Design

• Central Decor: The vase body hosts a splendid and detailed countryside scene painted by hand. On one side a female figure (fisherwoman or peasant) with baskets is depicted, while on the opposite side a suggestive rural landscape develops with houses, trees and pools of water with a bucolic flavor.
• Craftsmanship and Details: An object of excellent artisanal manufacture. The form is lively and adorned by two stylized handles and distinctive raised "buttons" on the shoulder of the vase. The upper band and the base are finished with geometric motifs and geometric foliate patterns that frame the scene perfectly.
• Era: Mid-20th century (bears the hand-painted mark "ITALY" on the base, typical of Italian production intended for export or the art market of the time).

Conditions
