Splendid icon depicting Christ Pantocrator, made in copper worked in repoussé and chasing. The riza is anchored to a wooden board laterally with nails. On the back the board is covered with orange coarse-weave hemp cloth.
There is a stamp validating its free export by the Soviet authorities. The stamp depicts a single-headed eagle, associated with the Soviet area, probably Polish.
The icon was probably sold in Poland in the 1960s, although it could be older.
It is an icon of great value and high religious symbolic significance.

In good condition; it is a work that has its age and its charm, with no missing parts.
