Series of five female portrait paintings in oil on panel, set in gilded oval frames, created in the 1920s–1930s. The works depict elegant ladies in historical costumes inspired by the 18th and 19th centuries, painted with soft, romantic tones. The gilded frames and the oval format recall the bourgeois decorative taste of the era, very widespread between the wars. The ensemble creates a refined, salon-like period drawing-room atmosphere, with romantic and neoclassical influences.
