Beautiful rounded vase signed by the French artist (François Cortesi). Typical of the Art Nouveau / Art Deco transitional period (around1910-1930), with floral relief decoration in silver plated tin repulsed roses and foliage with a finely granite background around the flower, and a more heavy solid base, Repulsed and chiseled by hand using the technique of “métal repoussée”

Cortesi, a French artist and master engraver active from the 1920s through 1959.
His signature style features highly detailed, embossed, and chiseled motifs heavily inspired by nature, including blooming flowers, wild Berries.
