A very fine antique master 4/4 violin, labeled Carlo Antonio Testore figlio maggiore del fu Carlo Giuseppe in Contrada larga al fegno dell'Aquila Milano 1731. The instrument is in ready to play condition with only one small repaired crack to endpin, good rosewood and ebony set up, old Dominant strings and old bridge made by worldwide known experts J & A BEARE. The violin has an excellent straight high grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of softly flamed maple with matched sides. Very rich golden amber color varnish remains in excellent condition. The whole length of the violin is 588 mm and the back 355 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 169 mm; middle bouts: 115 mm; lower bouts: 209 mm. The sound is very good, powerful, mellow, rich, suitable for soloist. Shipping worldwide insured.
Violins and bows described as 'certified' or 'attributed' include images of their certificates and are therefore considered to have a higher degree of documented certainty regarding maker, origin, and age than instruments described only as 'labelled' (violins) or 'stamped' (bows), for which we provide no guarantee of any kind
