Description from the seller

Splendid and refined antique small box (likely a tobacco snuff box or pill box) entirely made of silver with a finely gilded interior (vermeil). The piece features a sophisticated, shaped and domed form, typical of the nineteenth-century taste.

Characteristics and Details:
Origin/Style: Lombardo-Veneto area (carries an internal inventory/collection paper label with the inscription "Lombardo Veneto 1800").
Decoration: The lid is richly bulino-engraved with geometric motifs, rococo scrolls, floral elements, and a central reserve depicting an architectural landscape with buildings. The base shows a fine guilloché work in parallel lines with a central cartouche engraved with initials ("S.I." or similar).
Interior: Original gilding (vermeil) beautifully preserved, which served to protect the silver from corrosion by the substances contained.
Punch marks: Present on the inner edge (punch partially visible upon study, consistent with nineteenth-century manufacture).
Dimensions and Weight:
Size: 9 × 5 × 3 cm
Weight: 66 grams
Condition:
The item is presented in excellent vintage condition. The hinge is perfectly contemporary, solid and functioning; the clasp is precise. It shows a beautiful natural patina of time that enhances the workmanship. No restorations or notable dents.
A collectible piece of great charm, perfect both as an investment and as a prestige gift.
