Pair of Limoges porcelain egg-shaped jewellery/little treasure boxes "LG" - Hand-decorated with gold details - France, mid-20th century

Up for auction: a fascinating and refined coordinated pair of egg-shaped jewelry boxes/scrigni in Fabergé style, made in fine hard-paste porcelain by the renowned French manufacturer LG Porcelaine (Limoges). Both pieces split in half, functioning as elegant desk or vanity boxes, topped with a splendid golden metal apex handle in the shape of a stem/stylized leaf.

The bases of both chests bear the manufacturer’s authenticity mark: the green and gold "Porcelaine LG" emblem with the lower cartouche "Décoré à la main" (Decorated by hand). A collectible set with striking visual impact and exquisite French classical taste.

Each weighs 420 g, with a height of 17 cm and a circumference of 10 cm.
