Val St Lambert - Vase 'Boule à Fleurs' Zinia - Design S292 - Joseph Simon - Catalogue Cristaux de Fantaisie 1926. A nice size rose bowl or Boule à Fleurs Zinia by VSL in uncoloured crystal layered with a cobalt blue colour, cut with facets, beveled lines and large pearls. The rim is cut with overlapping olives and the vase is in possession of the correct crystal grill (metal for uncut rims), signed Val St Lambert Breveté. The vase is illustrated with reference S292, a design by Joseph Simon for the catalogue Cristaux de Fantaisie of 1926. Contrary to opinions, the grill in either crystal or metal was always listed optional in the catalogues, which makes a vase 'Boule à Fleurs' neither complete nor incomplete with or without it.
