English Silver Guilloché Enamel Scissors and Nail Buffer – Blue Enamel – Early 20th Century
Refined English silver manicure set, dating from the early 20th century, comprising two pairs of scissors and one nail buffer, all beautifully decorated with guilloché engraving and translucent blue enamel.
The silver handles are finely engine-turned beneath the enamel, creating a subtle shimmering effect that enhances the elegance and depth of the blue colour. The scissors feature steel blades mounted in silver handles, while the nail buffer retains its original polishing surface.
Such enamelled silver manicure accessories were characteristic of Edwardian dressing-table sets, combining refined craftsmanship with everyday functionality.
