Two beautiful hand-painted Art Deco vases from Booms of Belgium.
Material: glossy black hyalite glass, or verre noir as it is called. Hand-painted with a striking floral motif (often dahlias, anemones or poppies).
Edge finish: The characteristic wavy or scalloped upper rim with a fine gold trim is a typical design element for glass factories of that period, such as Glasfabriek De Rupel.
Dimensions:
Vase 1, left in the main photo: 22 cm high, 20 cm in diameter. Opening 12 cm in diameter.
Vase 2, right in the main photo: 25 cm high, diameter 14 cm. Opening 7 cm in diameter.
The vases are both in good condition with no chips or cracks. Note any loss of gold paint on the left vase; see the photos for reference.
The vases are very well packed and insuredly shipped with a track & trace code.
