Large lot of engraved copperware – Kashmir / India – 14 pieces – 20th century
Beautiful and decorative lot consisting of fourteen pieces of traditionally engraved copperware from Kashmir and/or India.
The collection includes various pots, cups, bowls and utensils that are richly hand-decorated with floral motifs, arabesques and geometric decorations. Each piece testifies to the craftsmanship of traditional copper workers from the Middle East and South Asia.
The fine engravings cover nearly the full surface of the objects and create a particularly decorative whole. Such pieces were traditionally used for water, tea, milk, spices or as decorative table objects.
The lot forms an attractive collection for lovers of Oriental art, ethnographic items and interior decoration.
