Magnificent brooch depicting a little girl, vintage and rare, made by the famous French designer Léa Stein in Bakelite. Brooch signed “LEA STEIN PARIS”. It is in very good condition despite the years (period 1968–1980). This series was already very expensive in 1968–1980 (the information concerning this brooch is in the book Léa Stein Jewelry by Judith Just).
All Léa Stein items are still largely handmade. There are not two identical. The brooches are fixed using a heat-bonding process, which can sometimes leave unusual marks or scratches on the back or around the fixing area. This is quite normal and does not constitute a defect.
This brooch is a genuine collectible piece, emblematic of the refined style of the late 1960s.
