Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Moon lunar meteorite NWA 13739 from Algeria, a 5 g fragment supplied in a display box.
Description from the seller
Opportunity to have a piece of the Moon in your hands.
Excellent large-surface, lightweight slab.
Due to the enormous impact of a meteorite on the Moon's surface, material from the planet was ejected into outer space; this material traveled through space until, due to the gravity of our planet, or because in our trajectory we came across these fragments, they ended up falling to our planet.
Apart from the Apollo missions and the almost 380 kg of lunar samples they brought back to Earth, this is the only way we have to touch a piece of the Moon.
Representative photo, the lot contains pieces weighing 5 grams.
The display case is included.
At Expometeoritos, we handle outreach, talks, workshops, analysis, classification and exhibitions of Meteorites.
We are members of:
- IMCA (International Meteorite Collectors Association) #8187
- Meteoritical Society
- American Meteor Society
All of our pieces are certified and, moreover, we provide the chemical composition analysis if the piece’s value exceeds €300, performed at our facilities by X-ray spectroscopy.
