Description from the seller

This vase is a design by Val Saint Lambert.
This series was introduced by Val Saint Lambert in response to the Great Depression of 1929. Instead of costly, hand-cut crystal, this produced affordable, high-quality pressed glass.
The design named "Escailles" literally means 'Scales'; the pattern of the relief blocks creates a honeycomb or ice-cube effect that breaks the light in a unique geometric way.
Although it is pressed glass, this design includes a percentage of lead crystal to give the vase a bright luster and greater density than standard glassware.
Dimensions: 25 cm high, top rim 18 cm.
