Description from the seller
Dune Arrakis Ascendancy of the Fremen – Game Force Nine – Legendary – New and still sealed – German edition
Dune Arrakis Aufstieg Der Fremen is a strategy and area-control game published by Gale Force Nine. Set on Arrakis about 10,000 years before the events of the original novel, the game focuses on acquiring numerous tributes from the Fremen to gain power and on managing limited risk.
Game mechanics:
The gameplay revolves around risk management and controlling strategic areas at the cost of Sietch. Winning controlled a certain number of pre-established Sietches (three at the start) during the season, or it withdrew them with a unanimous council decision.
Cycle sections:
The game progresses through various cycles: Transport (risk cost per piece of equipment), Production (based on the Arrakis promontory), Trade, Expedition, Transport (risk of attack or recovery), and Consultation.
Deterministic combat time:
Unlike many other games, combat time is predetermined in advance; the forces it faced included a warrior, a Development token, a Sandworm, and the support of neighboring territories.
Water debt:
A single mechanic able to reduce water debt, which can then be used for trade or to prevent future attacks.
Players: 2 to 4 players.
Duration: about 60-90 minutes.
