Ceramic vase by Giovanni Petucco (Italy), dated 1930–1940, 46×30×15 cm, in good used condition with minor signs of age and stains, featuring an elegant irregular form and a colour gradient from red at the top to deep black at the base, base marked as in the photo.
Description from the seller
This vase is a work by Giovanni Petucco, renowned ceramist from Nove (Vicenza). The artist has created a piece that unites artisanal tradition with a modern and avant-garde artistic sensibility. The form, in particular, is slender and irregular, with a nearly sculptural stance that departs from rigid classical symmetry.
The beauty of the piece also lies in its chromatic finish. The vase features an extraordinary color transition, fading from the intense red of the upper part to the deep black of the base. It is a magnificent example of how Petucco, through his experimentation, has managed to infuse a contemporary touch into traditional ceramics.
Brand on the base as shown in the photo.
Dimensions: 46x30x15 cm
Overall good condition, slight material defects due to time, present in the photos.
