Description from the seller
Vintage Hanging Lamp in Glass Blown and Wrought Iron (1950s/1960s)
Add character, history, and an unrivaled lighting atmosphere to your space with this authentic mid-century handmade decorative piece.
This lamp fits the Rustic and Industrial style, with strong influences from classic maritime and nautical lanterns.
The piece was crafted using the exquisite traditional Venetian glass-blowing technique directly onto a cage or wrought iron grid (caged glass), which causes the hot glass to expand organically through the metal mesh, creating sculptural undulations, textured bubbles, and unique surface patterns.
When lit, the organic texture of the glass and the iron weave create a dramatic, welcoming scenographic effect on the walls, projecting bold geometric patterns that transform the ambiance. With a natural aged patina perfectly preserved on the metal, its design shares aesthetic traits with historic Venetian workshop lighting such as Seguso or Venini, seamlessly bridging rustic refinement, vintage style, or a modern industrial-inspired space, and stands as a timeless collectible piece.
Note a few "touches" on the glass at the bottom—see the last photo.
I do not ship outside Europe.
It will be packed very carefully and shipped with tracking. The tracking will be updated on your Catawiki purchase page, please check it regularly to avoid the package being returned to me, in which case the buyer will be responsible for any additional shipping costs."}{
