Vintage bust of the Virgin Mary (Madonna) made in porcelain or glazed ceramic with gilt gold finishes.
It depicts the Madonna with eyes half-closed in a posture of prayer or meditation, while one hand rests on the chest near a lily flower, a traditional symbol of purity.
Features a mid-20th-century design (roughly the 1940s or 1950s) with Art Deco influences in the slender face and stylized features.
The ILCA initials on the top right of the base indicate that the piece belongs to the production of Industria Ligure Ceramiche Artistiche (I.L.C.A.), a well-known manufactory active in Nervi (Genoa) starting in 1928.
Used item in good condition as shown in photos and description. Limited signs of time and use (partial wear of the gilt gold in some areas).
