Description from the seller
Bas-relief painting on a copper plate by the contemporary artist Julien Allegre, an artist who exhibits in international exhibitions. The work is signed by the artist on the front and authenticated on the back. Julien Allègre, born in 1980 in Arles, is a self-taught sculptor and musician, renowned for his unique approach to metal sculpture. Initially destined for a career in mechanics, he turned to art after being influenced by music and pivotal encounters with other artists. Julien Allègre began his artistic career by working metal, which he regards as a living and reactive material. He is known for his sculptures that explore the relationship between the weight of metal and its own artistic sensitivity. His works are characterized by the use of recycled materials, such as cans and oil drums, which he transforms into poetic and quirky characters. Over the years, Allègre has broadened his palette by incorporating antique bronze, allowing him to navigate between the archaic and the contemporary in his creations. His work is marked by a search for harmony between raw materiality and a refined aesthetic. He has a market value of between €600 and €1,500 for mixed-media works, rising to €5,000–€7,000 for the more significant sculptures. The frame is offered as a courtesy and is not an integral part of the artwork. Any damage to the frame will not be valid grounds for claims or order cancellation. Provenance: private collection. The work is accompanied by a certificate from the antique shop and legitimate provenance.
