Vintage necklace - Silver - India

A silver vintage tribal necklace (choker) in very good condition, locally known as a Hasli or Hansuli. This authentic piece was handmade in the desert region of Rajasthan, India, mid-20th century, and worn by ethnic groups such as the Rabari or Jat tribes. The necklace has an elegant braided, flexible structure and is equipped with a highly ornate, cylindrical clasp. The closure operates via a traditional, authentic pin-and-screw system (note when opening: opposite screw threads). With a weight of no less than 77 grams and a refined thickness, it is a striking and highly wearable piece. The silver has developed a beautiful, deep patina over the years that highlights the artisanal craftsmanship.
