Description from the seller
Ancient and massive Tuareg amulet ring (Tiselk) - 25 grams of antique silver and genuine natural carnelian - Collectible piece.
Exceptional and very ancient traditional ring of the Tuareg people (Sahel region). A collectible piece of great historical significance and high status, characterized by its unusual weight and metal density, features of ancient tribal jewelry made from casting historical silver coins.
The piece features a central natural carnelian cabochon-cut elongated stone. The mineral shows evident natural color zoning (from translucent red to smoky brown) and the historic patina that comes with the passage of time.
The central silver bridge is hand-engraved with a diamond motif (Farah), a mystical protective symbol against the evil eye, flanked by two side columns with tribal notches made with a burin. Open back structure with sturdy manual welds of the era.
It was cleaned a bit to preserve its historical character for that reason.
Excellent state of historical preservation. Gema intacta sin fisuras.
Shipped via certified mail in Spain and insured.
