«DEGGADA» Moroccan Sugar Hammer

This Berber sugar hammer is a piece of traditional craftsmanship remarkable for the finesse of its carved details. The head of the object is adorned with a central rose surrounded by stylized architectural motifs, such as arches and foliage, while the handle features a series of regular horizontal grooves that add a rhythmic dimension to its structure. Despite the elegance of these ornamentations, the object bears the marks of a long life of use, revealed by a deep antique patina and pronounced flaws, notably chips at the ends of the head as well as various surface irregularities and signs of natural wear on the wood that underscore its authenticity and history.
