*** Anton Michelsen founded the company A. Michelsen in Copenhagen in 1841.
• The Daisy ( Marguerite ) design was first introduced in 1940, to commemorate the birth of Princess (later Queen) Margrethe II.
• The company was later absorbed into Georg Jensen (the merger process began in the 1980s), and the Daisy collection continued under the Georg Jensen name. ***
