Description from the seller
Lot consisting of a 100 ml bottle of Giusti aged condiment, aged over 100 years.
Extracted annually in limited quantities, Giusti 100 is a special reserve aged over 100 years in the house’s oldest battery of casks. Characterized by a wide aromatic bouquet and its unmistakable bittersweet taste, it presents intense woody notes and ripe fruit. Each bottle is numbered and hand-finished, housed in a case with a small blown-glass pipette. A unique product, enhanced by a 24-karat gold label and movable-type printing, using an nineteenth-century Modenese typeface.
Ingredients: cooked grape must
Aging: in antique casks dating back to the 1700s
Pairings: Risotto, fresh pasta, stuffed pasta, meats, aged cheeses and desserts
The house’s most exclusive collection, produced each year in extremely limited quantities and drawn from precious production cask batteries dating from the 1700s. One of these casks, coded A3, was brought by Giusti to the National Exhibition in Florence in 1861 where an elixir of 90 years extracted from it won a gold medal, a success later repeated in Paris at the Exposition of 1889.
