An adjustable 1930s–1940s Art Deco piano stool in solid oak, made in the Netherlands, with a brown fabric seat, a metal screw mechanism, and a three‑leg base; height 48–57 cm and a 36 cm diameter.
Description from the seller
This height-adjustable piano stool dates from the 1930s/1940s and represents a classic piece of functional furniture from that period. The design combines a sturdy wooden construction with a practical swivel mechanism, giving it a versatile and timeless character.
The stool is made of solid wood, presumably oak, and features a seat covered in a soft brown fabric, possibly velour. The central metal screw mechanism makes it possible to adjust the seat height steplessly. The sturdy three-legged base provides stability and is finished with decorative grooves and a bulb-shaped detail on the underside.
The stool is in good condition considering its age and use. The wood has developed a warm patina and the original finish is largely preserved. The swivel mechanism functions properly.
This piece of furniture is particularly well-suited to a classical or vintage-inspired interior. It can serve as a functional seating place at a piano or desk, but it also makes a characterful addition as a decorative element in a living room or hallway.
-------
In the highest position the stool is 57 cm
The lowest position 48 cm
Diameter is 36 cm
