This Reform Original 3, a magnificent example of mid-20th-century classic German engineering and a model highly appreciated by vintage-writing enthusiasts, is presented in an enviably pristine state of conservation. The body and cap, fashioned in a robust black onyx-like polished thermoplastic resin, retain a deep, mirror-like shine, clean and uniform, reflecting a surface superbly cared for and completely free from the usual cracks, fissures, or heavy wear marks that these postwar tools typically show.

The original gold nib stands out superbly: it bears the classic, streamlined silhouette of German nibs of the era, with its gulls perfectly aligned and the iridium tip whole, symmetric and without the slightest deformation or twist. The flat ebony feed remains structurally intact, clean, and perfectly centered, guaranteeing a steady ink flow and an imposing esthetic presence.

Regarding the metallic details, the characteristic curved clip with the name "REFORM" engraved in relief and the double gold ring at the base of the cap keep a clean shine and excellent tension, showing only a slight and natural wear on the upper crown due to the passage of time, which adds a very honest historic patina to the piece.

A definitive factor for its extremely high collector value is the extraordinary clarity of its imprint. The longitudinal engraving on the resin body remains impeccably deep, clean, and perfectly legible: “Reform [Wing Logo] Original,” finished at the end by the model number “3,” which testifies to the minimum level of friction or wear the surface has suffered over decades.
