Grand-fire stoneware vase from the Arts-Ceram Grand Feu workshop, by Michel Pointu, model no. 29 with two hippocampus handles, H 16 cm × W 14 cm, weight about 1.2 kg, copper/gold metallic glaze with turquoise green runs, made in Bourgogne, France, dating to the 1950s–1960s, in good condition with minor wear and age-related marks.

Large stoneware vase, high-fire, from the Arts-Ceram Grand Feu studio, created by Michel Pointu (son of Léon Pointu) and his wife Denise Pointud-Detraz, former pupil of the Beaux-Arts in Bourges.
Studio located in Arquian, near Saint-Amand-en-Puisaye, active only from 1951 to early 1963.
Iconic model with two hippocampus handles, number 29 stamped under the base (engraved stamp "ARTS-CERAM GRAND FEU 29").
• Material: Puisaye stoneware, high-fire kiln • Decoration: copper/gilded metallic glaze with turquoise green drips, typical of the 1950s • Dimensions: approx. H 16 cm x L 14 cm with handles • Weight: about 1.2 kg
Condition: very good overall, no cracks or chips. Surface wear to the gilding on a few edges, normal for a metallic glaze of more than 60 years. Interior clean.
A decorative piece in demand, perfect for vintage décor, late Art Deco or a Puisaye collection.
