This is a very ancient manuscript page from the Seljuk era, almost a millennia ago and is of Turkish origin. It bears all the the hallmarks of the era's celebrated calligraphic school: bold, flowing Muhaqqaq script, characteristic gold roundel verse markings and a distinctive warm toned laid paper. Folios from this period are scarce and highly valued by collectors and Museums. 

The folio contains scripture from chapter 4, Surah An-Nisa (Women) v.128-132, which provide guidance on navigating marital difficulties, particularly when a husband shows neglect or aversion toward his wife. The passages encourage couples to seek amicable settlements and remind them to rely on God's sovereignty, patience, and ultimate wisdom.

The condition is classified as 'fair' because there is water staining to the folio and repairs to the rear have been made with archival paper. However, for a manuscript 975 years old, it has been preserved remarkably well.
