Vintage Peruvian Modernist Bird Brooch - 925 Silver - "Old Cuzco" - approx. 1950/1970
Auction description:
Dutch: Offered a beautiful and rare vintage modernist-stylized bird brooch from the well-known Peruvian silver atelier "Old Cuzco". This handmade brooch is a splendid example of Mid-Century Peruvian silverware, strongly inspired by the ancient indigenous Inca art and iconography. The back side is provided with a sturdy pin closure and is clearly marked with the authentic atelier signature: "Old Cuzco" and the silver content "925". A beautiful collectible for lovers of modernist, tribal, or ethnically-inspired silver design.
