Description from the seller
It is a Renaissance triptych in spirit, though produced by printed image on a wooden frame that adds presence, brightness, and a nearly liturgical warmth. The piece is organized like old domestic altars: three scenes that dialogue with each other, united by chromatic continuity and by the painted architecture that frames each episode.
The central panel dominates the set with a classic Nativity scene: the Virgin inclined toward the Child, Joseph in a protective stance, the Magi approaching with their gifts, and a background of ruins and landscape that recalls the Italian masters of the Quattrocento. Although printed, the image preserves that gentle depth, the idealized draperies, and the golden light that envelops the figures.
In the left panel, the Annunciation appears in a serene interior: the inclined angel, the surprised yet restrained gesture of Mary, the ordered architecture, and the clear palette that underscores the purity of the moment. In the right panel, the Presentation in the Temple unfolds with solemnity, with characters grouped under a more elaborate architectural space, almost palatial, evoking Venetian and Florentine painting.
The wooden frame, polished and in deep tones, acts as a bridge between the modern printing technique and the ancient devotional aesthetics. Its glossy finish and its classical silhouette reinforce the sense of a sacred object designed for a private corner of the home. The whole conveys that characteristic blend of mid-20th-century religious craftsmanship: respect for classical iconography, a taste for gilding, and a clear intention to bring Renaissance beauty closer to an accessible and warm format.
Certified shipping and good packaging.
