Splendid pair of tripod countryside (or hunting) stools, entirely handmade in Colombia in the middle of the 20th century. This set represents an excellent example of traditional South American craftsmanship, marrying structural robustness with high decorative value. The seats are made of heavy natural full-grain leather, repoussé-decorated with anthropomorphic figures inspired by local Pre-Columbian and Indigenous iconography. The foreground stool bears the original inscription "COLOMBIA". The base consists of three crossed solid-wood legs, finely smoothed, that fan out to provide a stable seat. Thanks to the compact design and the removable seat, the components are easily transportable. Perfect as boho-chic decorative elements, unusual coin trays, or accent seating for eclectic interiors and mid-century modern collectors. Measurements are H 45 P 41 and H 40 P 36.
