Beautiful silver Art Nouveau pillbox with a decoration of lilies. The inside is lightly gold-plated. Marked: W & H, 'sterling', 28 A. N.B. The lily is a flower full of rich symbolism, standing for purity, love, fertility, femininity and transience. White lilies are often associated with virginity and mourning, while colored lilies can express gratitude or passion. They are widely used at weddings, births.
