Description from the seller

Glass Fish – Where Light Meets the Silence of the Sea

"The greatest luxury is not complexity, but perfect simplicity."

Some artworks do not seek attention. They simply become impossible to forget.

This handcrafted glass fish, created by Polish glass artist Maciej Habrat, is a celebration of simplicity, balance, and the quiet beauty of the underwater world. Inspired by the fluid elegance of marine life rather than its literal form, the sculpture captures the essence of the sea through a clean silhouette, luminous colour, and the ever-changing language of light.

Made using the traditional glass fusing technique, the sculpture is carefully composed from layers of clear and coloured glass before being kiln-fired into a single harmonious form. Delicate textures and tiny air bubbles remain suspended within the glass, creating remarkable depth and subtle movement. As daylight passes through it, the colours awaken, revealing new shades and shimmering reflections throughout the day.

Its minimalist form invites contemplation. Rich blue tones recall tropical lagoons, the quiet depths of the ocean, and the serenity found beneath the surface. Effortlessly elegant, the sculpture brings a feeling of calm and timeless beauty to any interior.

More than a representation of a fish, it captures the poetry of water itself. Graceful, tranquil, and full of life, it reminds us that true beauty often lies in what has been distilled to its purest form. Like the sea itself, it reveals its character slowly, with every passing ray of light.

Every sculpture is individually handmade by Maciej Habrat, a Polish glass artist with more than twenty years of experience. No moulds are used, ensuring that each piece possesses its own subtle variations and unique character. More than a decorative object, it is a contemporary glass artwork that celebrates craftsmanship, light, and the quiet power of simplicity.
