DESCRIPTION:
An exceptional and highly sculptural Mid-Century Spanish Brutalist three-legged chair, dating from the 1970s. This piece beautifully embodies the raw, rustic aesthetic of the Brutalist movement, combining heavy solid wood with its original light-toned natural cowhide seat and backrest, elegantly secured with patinated metal studs.

MAKER'S MARK & AUTHENTICITY:
On the wooden surface, there is an original, faint vintage maker's brand stamp pressed directly into the wood. While partially faded due to age and natural wear, this authentic mark is a highly desirable feature for collectors, providing excellent proof of the chair's genuine mid-century heritage and production. The chair features fantastic artisan details, including deeply hand-carved textured patterns along the edges of the seat, backrest, and legs.

A spectacular feature of this chair is its fully modular, take-down design, allowing it to be disassembled completely flat. True to traditional craftsmanship, the three solid carved legs feature integrated wooden threads that screw directly into the seat by hand. The backrest and seat link together seamlessly using a heavy-duty vintage mechanical bracket stamped with "ERLE PAT." (Erle Patent), which is effortlessly secured with a single matching metal bolt. The entire chair is 100% tool-free; it can be fully assembled and disassembled in less than two minutes using nothing but your hands.

The chair has been carefully cleaned and treated with premium Liberon Black Bison wax (Walnut finish), enhancing the magnificent dark grain and giving the wood a deep, rich, silky-smooth finish while fully preserving its authentic vintage soul.

CONDITION:
Excellent vintage condition with a gorgeous, authentic patina. The cowhide is clean and fully intact, and the frame is structurally rock solid.

For full transparency and accurate detailing:
* There is a minor hairline age-split in the wood on one of the under-seat leg sockets. As documented in the close-up photos, this is entirely superficial and contained to the inner ring; the main surrounding solid wood frame is completely unaffected. The leg screws in perfectly and locks tightly.
* The original metal upholstery studs feature authentic, minor surface rust/oxidation, which beautifully highlights the rustic Brutalist character and verifies its mid-century vintage heritage.

Thanks to its brilliant modular design, the chair will be safely disassembled and shipped completely flat-packed in a secure, compact box where all individual components fit perfectly.
