Three-piece altar set (3) - Crucifix with two matching candlesticks - Handcrafted tin set (92% Tin) in Baroque style - Netherlands/Belgium - Ca. 1970
A very handsome and complete three-piece tin altar set, consisting of a central standing crucifix and two identical, matching candlesticks. The set is executed in a richly decorated, classical Baroque style with detailed hexagonal feet and graceful scroll ornamentation on the arms of the cross.
The underside of the base bears a clear quality stamp: "92% TIN" in combination with the traditional hallmark of an angel with a trumpet (Engeltjestin). This indicates a high-quality, lead-free and solid tin alloy from the second half of the 20th century (ca. 1970s/80s), crafted in the Netherlands or Belgium.
The set is in excellent, undamaged vintage condition with a beautiful, characteristic matte patina. Very decorative for a classic or religious interior.
Candlestick height: 22 cm high - base 12 cm wide and deep.
Crucifix height: 32 cm high - base 12 cm wide and deep.
