Brass vase in a golden finish, 55 cm high and 27 cm wide (27 cm deep 26 cm) with a bronze handle, dating to 1960–1970 in a modern mid‑century style, made in Spain, in good used condition with minor signs of age and imperfections, titled Grande con Asas – 55 cm.
Description from the seller
It is a vase that perfectly embodies that warm, bright luxury with a touch of theatricality typical of Hollywood Regency, reinterpreted in the mid-20th century. The piece is made of gilded brass, with a tall, slender body that narrows toward the base and widens into a broad, almost ceremonial rim. The metal, polished but with just the right patina, reflects light with a soft glow, never harsh, very characteristic of decorative objects of the era.
The body alternates zones of lighter brass with others in a more coppery tone, creating a visual rhythm that recalls the mixed pieces from mid-century artisan workshops. Near the neck, a pierced band appears, worked with geometric and vegetal motifs, lending lightness and a touch of almost jewel-like sophistication.
On one side, a bronze handle —darker, more sculptural— introduces a delicious contrast: the warm gold against the deep bronze, a dialogue of metals that reinforces the sense of a theatrical piece, designed to stand out in an elegant living room or on a lit console.
The round, solid, well-proportioned base balances the vase’s verticality and gives it architectural presence. Taken together, it is an object that blends glamour, craftsmanship, and a cinematic air, perfect for those seeking pieces with character and stage-worthy brilliance.
Certified shipping and careful packing.
