Important set of books, both in terms of book design and gardening. Complete six volume of Thompson's seminal work on the art of gardening, edited by William Watson, curator of the Royal Gardens at Kew. With a preface by Sir Frederick W. Keeble
Each volumes is illustrated with an attractive colour plate frontispiece, several colour plates, photographs, and numerous botanical illustrations throughout. Published by The Gresham Publishing Company Limited, London, 1925. Publisher’s original Dark-green cloth with flowers design and gilt lettering on upper boards, and spines.

Internally in very good condition. No names or inscriptions. Pages are clean, with light foxing on the margin of some pages and page edges. All plates are present, and bright (Please see pictures).
